Kale has stepped into the health spotlight as one of the world’s healthiest vegetables. One cup of chopped Kale contains as little as 33 calories, 9% of your recommended daily amount of calcium, 206% of vitamin A, 134% of vitamin C, and 684% of vitamin K. It is also a huge source of minerals like copper, potassium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, and sodium.
Kale is linked with anti-cancer, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Other health benefits of this leafy green include eye- and bone-health promotion, lowering cholesterol and risk of heart disease. In the recipe to follow, strawberries are a main ingredient. This make it doubly as healthy. Strawberries are absolutely delicious, but beyond that, they’re full of antioxidants, vitamin C, fiber, and potassium. This helps prevent some cancers, lower blood pressure, boost immunity, keep away wrinkles and make your skin glow. They also help lower cholesterol and have an anti-inflammatory effect. Last but not least, strawberries are low in calories, fat-free, and low in sodium and sugar, making them a perfect pair for a Kale smoothie.
Try it out! I assure you, it’s delicious.
